Central Elementary Teachers of the Year
Anita Hamby	2007-2008 Pre-K - Fourth Grade Teacher of the Year This years 2007-2008 Pre-K through fourth grade teacher of the year is Anita Hamby. Ms. Hamby teaches 4th grade. She teaches all subjects, but has been instrumental in implementing the new Star Math program the last couple of years. Ms. Hamby is dedicated to providing students at CES with a quality education and we are glad to have her on staff at our school!
John Isham	2007-2008 Fifth-Eighth Grade Teacher of the Year This years 2007-2008 Fifth grade through Eighth grade teacher of the year is John Isham. Mr. Isham teaches fifth grade. He currently teaches the History block for the fifth grade. History is Mr. Isham’s passion and he does a wonderful job teaching it. Mr. Isham does an outstanding job at CES!
	2006-2007 Teacher of the Year This year the Central Elementary Teacher of the Year is Carmen Ward. Mrs. Carmen has been teaching 1st grade for 14 years. When asked why she chose teaching as her profession she stated, “I have always loved helping kids.” Congratulations Mrs. Carmen on winning the award and good luck at the district level!
	2005-2006 Teacher of the Year This years 2005 - 2006 Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Martha Dyer. Mrs. Dyer teaches 4th grade at Central Elementary. She has been teaching at Central for 26 years. Mrs. Dyer does an excellent job and we are glad to have her at our school!
